The Extreme Left's Hypocrisy: Pretending to Defend Human Rights While Supporting the Destruction of Israel and the Jewish People

In Western countries and societies, progressive movements claim to champion inclusivity, tolerance, human rights, and justice for all—yet most moral outrage is aimed at Israel and Jewish people, while Muslim-majority countries with deeply oppressive laws, which sharply contrast with everything "progressive" stands for, face little scrutiny.

In places like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, Egypt, and Syria, women are denied basic rights, dissent and apostasy are criminalized, LGBTQ+ people are executed, and freedom of speech and religion is severely restricted.

Yet Israel, a small democratic state defending itself, with human rights protections comparable to those in typical Western countries, is relentlessly condemned and hated.

Driving, working, and travel restrictions; forced and child marriages; public punishment for moral offenses. Contrasts sharply with progressive values of autonomy, gender equality, and freedom of choice.

The progressive left projects its own values upside down: it condemns Israel for "immorality" while excusing societies that systematically commit the very abuses it claims to oppose. In Israel, they see oppression—but in reality, they forgive oppression elsewhere and even legitimize it.

This moral inversion is paradoxical: the left attacks the small and democratic country with Western institutions that protect human rights while ignoring theocratic tyranny. By misplacing their perspective, they perceive evil where it does not exist and excuse it where it does, effectively turning progressive values upside down.

The Takeaway

The extreme progressive left claims to defend human rights, equality, and morality—but the reality is grotesquely different. Israel, a small democratic state with an unbroken connection to the Jewish people for thousands of years, is relentlessly attacked, while some of the most oppressive, theocratic societies—where women are enslaved by law, LGBTQ+ people are executed, dissent is criminalized, and free speech is crushed—are excused or ignored.

The irony is staggering: the left would even legitimize the inconceivable—the destruction of a people and a state—while claiming to stand for fairness, morality, and equality.

They do not see—or refuse to acknowledge—how horrific and hypocritical they are: standing for humanity but cheering, even passively, for the possible annihilation of a small minority.

Criticism of Israel is weaponized as virtue signaling, while confronting real tyranny is socially dangerous or "Islamophobic."

This is not human rights advocacy—it is ideological theater, selective morality, and moral bankruptcy.
